There's a lot to see and do in the Central New York area this weekend. We found the Top 10 events we think you should make time for.

From hanging out at the Utica Zoo for a family-friendly day out, to discovering everything "garlic" at a special festival, there's a LOT going on in the area this weekend (and there's no doubt about that).     New York Power Authority's Wildlife Festival at the Utica Zoo

    PRICE: Free
    Why not bring the whole family to the Utica Zoo this weekend? The New York Power Authority is putting on their annual "Wildlife Festival" with face painting, magic, chainsaw carving, local vendors, and delicious food. Check out the video (below) to find out more about this great event.

    I-90 Cruisin' Car Show at SUNY Poly in Utica

    Sat. September 9: 11a - 3p

    PRICE: Free to attend, $15 to register a car in the show
    This is a fantastic event put on by the students of SUNY Polytechnic Institute. There will be raffles, a silent auction, of course all the sweet cars, and more for the whole family. And money raised from this event helps benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of CNY.

    Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Festival in Little Falls

    Sat. September 9: 10a - 5p

    PRICE: $5 suggested donation per person, $15 per family
    Come to Canal Place in Little Falls for all your garlic needs (and wants). There will be garlic and herb growers, artisans, and of course delicious garlic and herb foods. Plus, free horse and carriage rides along the Erie Canal, and demonstrations throughout the day.

    Matchbox 20 and Counting Crows in Syracuse

    Sat. September 9: 6:45pm

    PRICE: $48 - $746
    Tickets are still available to see Matchbox 20 and the Counting Crows at the Lakeview Amphitheater in Syracuse. Get ready to dance, sing along, and just jam out to "Unwell," "How Far We've Come," "She's So Mean," and many other Matchbox 20 songs. Of course, you'll be jamming out to Counting Crow hits too, like "Big Yellow Taxi" and "Accidentally in Love."

    Fairchild Folk Festival 2017 in Remsen

    Enjoy a free movie at March Street and Ellsworth Road in Rome. This is a makeup date for a rained out movie (earlier this summer), but they will be showing "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusader." The movie starts at 8pm and their will be a food truck on site for treats. Beer will also be available.
