Wine Tasting, An Animal Walk, Painting, and More: 10 Events to Check Out This Weekend

$75 for "wine-enthusiast tickets" which get you in at 4p and include extra perks.

Sample New York State wines and beers while checking out all the animals. There will also be delicious snacks and live music. Wine slushies will be available as well.

Hundreds of people participate in the Ride for Missing Children, which is a one day, 100 mile bike ride that will stop at area schools to bring awareness to child safety. Some of the areas where riders will pass by include Oneida High School, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, Madison Oneida BOCES, Oriskany Central School, Westmoreland Road School, Marcy Elementary, Thomas Jefferson Elementary, General Herkimer Elementary, Barringer Road Elementary, and a handful of others.

Learn about everything that kept the fort up and running from blacksmiths, traders, tailors, and more. Plus there will be fun hands-on activities throughout the day.

See the beautiful flashes of colors, hear the loud blasts, and be mesmerized by all the displays in the night sky. "Fireworks Over Sauquoit" happens at the Sauquoit Valley High School.

Start your Saturday morning with some nice, relaxing yoga to get you stretched out and ready to take on the day. This yoga class at Franklin Square is open to all age groups and all abilities. They do ask that you bring a mat with you.

PRICE: Free (but if you get $25 in pledges you'll get a "Mutt Strut" t-shirt)

Get ready to spend a nice afternoon out with your four-legged friend at the Herkimer County Community College. The "Mutt Strut" is being put on by the Herkimer County Humane Society. Dogs must be leashed for the walk.

Celebrate the warmer weather as we get closer to the official first day of summer, with a Paint and Sip Night at Art & Vine on Genesee St. "Hummingbirds" is the theme for this painting.

Help celebrate Nail Creek Pub & Brewery's 9th anniversary with music all day, drinks, and of course delicious food. The music starts at 1pm and will go all night until the place closes down.
