Salita reminds me of a cat I had years ago named Mittens. Mittens started her life out on the streets. Salita had a home once upon a time, but her family moved and left her behind. They lived out in the country, so Salita retreated into the woods and managed to survive on her own for a couple of years!
Luckily a new family moved into the area and took pity on poor Salita and brought her to the shelter. She was very skinny and hungry, but is doing fine now. The only thing she is starved for is attention. She is a beautiful, 6-7 year old, spayed female, orange tiger cat. She is laid back and affectionate and she loves to be talked to and petted. She is also great with other cats. Salita came to the shelter with some dental disease, but thanks to a couple of generous donors, she was able to go to the vet to have her teeth fixed. Salita looks great now, and can't wait to find her forever family! Come meet Salita today! You can find out more about the pets available when you Email the Rome Humane Society of Oneida County.
