Deb Cabral, the DeClutter Coach, joins us again with some great tips and tricks to help us get organized in a variety of aspects in our lives. This week Deb Cabral shows us an easy way to plan your family meals that will save you time and energy.

Need help figuring out what's for dinner? Don't know if you have everything you need to make a specific meal? Well, a little organization can go a long way when it comes to meal planning. The DeClutter Coach shares another "Organized in 60 Seconds" clip with us to help us create a Meal Planning Binder, which you can see in the video at the top of this page.

Deb Cabral suggests you come up with 25 to 30 meals your family will love. You put the recipes for those meals into a plastic page protector and organize them. Put all the chicken meals in one section, fish in another, pork in another, and so on. The DeClutter Coach explains a little organization can save you a lot of time and energy. And you can always switch out the recipes seasonally, or when you feel like changing things up.

The DeClutter Coach also suggests picking a day to plan your meals for the week. Whether you sit down on Saturday or Sunday and decide what's for dinner throughout the week. That way you can make sure you have all the ingredients you need for ALL the meals you'll be making. And it makes making that grocery list a lot easier. You won't end up buying more pasta when you already have two boxes left, or any other unnecessary buying.

You can take it a step further and make a pre-printed grocery list that contains the items you need for all the recipes, which you can see in the video above.
