Fantastic New Option for Coffee in The Valley
If you're looking for a relaxed coffee shop with fresh, flavorful drinks, a trip down Route 51 will lead you to exactly what you're looking for.
Moose River Coffee in Ilion is the coffee shop we've been waiting for. The calm atmosphere will give you a little break in your day, allow you to slow down for a moment, before heading back to your hectic, busy schedule.
But a coffee shop is only as good as the coffee it serves, right? Don't worry, when it comes to fresh and satisfying coffee, owners Kim and Yvonne know what they're doing. Coffee roasting was actually a hobby of Kim's, before they opened up their business. And yes, they roast their own coffee in house so you KNOW it's fresh.
On top of having some of the greatest coffee around (we suggest you try their Cold Brew coffee, it's outstanding), they also serve breakfast sandwiches.
And the owners are working on a little "Merchants Corner" inside their shop. Right now they offer different products from other local businesses like apple butter, homemade salsa, maple syrup, honey, and other goodies.
They've only been open for a few months, but there's no doubt they'll be sticking around the Valley. Both Kim and Yvonne are from the Herkimer County area.
Whether you go for lattes, a cup of fresh hot coffee with a shot of french vanilla, or you love espresso, Moose River Coffee will serve up what you need. And there's just something so refreshing about getting your coffee from a small, local business.
So the next time you're traveling down Route 51, or you're in the Herkimer, Ilion, or Frankfort area, we suggest you stop into this wonderful little coffee shop and try them for yourselves. They're located at: 70 Otsego Street, next to the new beer store "Route 51 Beer Belly Bob's" in Ilion.
