The New York State's Common Core testing has been a pretty controversial issue recently. Two Central New York girls who opted out of the testing, sing their own parody to Meghan Trainor's 'All About That Bass,' and it all has to do with testing.

Two young students show how they feel about the state's Common Core testing. 12-year-old Courtney Keough from Jamesville-DeWitt Middle School and 9-year-old Megan Keough from Jamesville Elementary sing their parody of 'All About That Bass,' cleverly titled, 'All About the Tests.' Their father Timothy Keough wrote the lyrics for the parody, but the rest was all the girls.

Timothy Keough is a high school teacher at East Syracuse Minoa, who opted his daughters out of the state's testing. According to Syracuse.com,

"We are not against testing, but we believe this assessment is not in the best interest of the students,'' Timothy Keough said. "My daughters and I came up with this idea so kids can have a voice in this. We hope this will help get the message out and encourage others to opt out."

Here is the parody of 'All About That Bass.' The two Central New York girls' 'All About the Tests,' which their father said took two nights of recording to finish it.

The New York State's Common Core testing has already started. The math test started today (Wednesday), and runs through Friday, while the language arts portion was done last week.
