Sure, every once in a while there is a movie out there that is just so bad, you wonder how anyone could ever watch it. Even those terrible movies though, usually don't get pulled from theaters. Unfortunately, Jem and Holograms wasn't so lucky.

Universal Studios decided after two weeks of doing absolutely terrible in the theaters, it was time to pull the plug. On its opening week in theaters, Jem and the Holograms wasn't even able to bring in two million dollars. And the second week? Well, let's just say it didn't do any better. According to the Huffington Post,

Universal sunk $5 million into the movie, so it's not a huge loss for the studio. But the "Jem" did manage to rank fourth among the worst opening weekend wide releases since 1982.

So Jem and the Holograms wasn't the worst bomb in movie theater history, but it was pretty close. We can only hope some of their upcoming movies do better. Fingers crossed for the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt movie 'By the Sea.'

Check out the trailer for Jem and the Holograms for yourself. Would you guess the movie would be such a dud, or did they get dealt a bad hand?
