If you’re suffering from the broken heart blues you may claim other than emotionally, it really does hurt. Well if you’re afraid to say anything in the fear of looking crazy don’t panic. According to a new study, your brain processes a broken heart in much the same way it processes broken bones.

Researchers found that physical and social pain are processed in some of the same regions of the brain. Physical pain has two parts: the physical and the emotional. When a part of the body is hurt, your brain lights up and sends out the pain signals. But our brains also register emotional distress in the same part of the brain where the sting of social pain is processed.

So honestly if you really want to cure yourself of a broken heart, you don’t need time to heal, you may just need a couple of aspirin.

If you're going through some heartbreak you may need a song to help you through...
