’98 Seconds with Naomi Lynn’ – Eating Fast Food While on a Diet
If you're trying to lose weight, usually the first thing that gets cut out is fast food. What if there was a way you could diet, but still enjoy those tacos and fries?
This isn't an ad for some gimmicky weight loss pill, or some magical way you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight. No, this is the latest "98 Seconds with Naomi Lynn Video," and she explains how you can still eat at Taco Bell or McDonald's (or wherever), but still be on a diet.
First she looks into Taco Bell because of all the strides they are making to have healthier options available to their customers (and because it happens to be her go-to fast food joint). Taco Bell offers the "Fresco Style" option to almost all their menu items. This cuts out tons of calories from their regular choices. You can hear how "Fresco Style" works in the video at the top of this page. She also explains the cool tool Taco Bell offers to help you watch your calorie intake, and know exactly what you're getting with their Nutrition Calculator (which is a lot cooler than it sounds, trust us).
So what does that mean for you? Well, it means you don't have to give up Taco Bell (or other fast food places) when you're trying to lose weight. Every fast food restaurant has their menu items' nutritional value listed on their websites. Do a little research before you head out, and find out what's the best options for you. And it's a win-win; you get to enjoy that juicy hamburger, crunchy fries, or delicious nachos without ruining your diet.
It's all about your calorie intake. Yes, fast food isn't good for you. But if you get a hamburger instead of a double bacon burger, you're making a better choice. If you get a burger and take in 330 calories... Well, that's definitely not bad for a meal. You just can't have ALL the sides and the biggest sizes.
Besides, completely depriving yourself of something you eat and enjoy (especially if you get fast food quite often), can make you more likely to mess up and over-indulge later. And that can set you wayyyy back.
We're not saying you can go on a fast food diet and you'll lose weight. We're saying that you don't have to always give up the best foods when you're on a diet. Being on a diet shouldn't be torture (even if it's really difficult, sometimes).
