Taco Bell is always adding to their menu and trying out new flavor combinations. The newest item is coming to their breakfast menu, and we'll see it in a few days.

It's called the "Naked Egg Taco," and it will be available at Taco Bell locations starting Thursday, August 31st. Sounds pretty... "interesting," right?! But before you pre-judge this new option, let's take a look back to when Taco Bell offered the "Naked Chicken Chalupa." It was an odd concept and many people were turned off to the idea (if you don't remember what it was, it was pretty much a chicken taco with nacho cheese sauce on it, but the shell was made out of chicken). I'll admit, as a Taco Bell enthusiast, even I thought it was a little out there. But in the spirit of "Don't knock it until you've tried it," I ordered one and was pleasantly surprised.

People may be a little leery of the creation in fear of "greasy hands." A taco shell made of some other food item (instead of the traditional way), has to be messy, right? Well, not with Taco Bell. I can't speak for the "Naked Egg Taco" because it's not out yet, but the "Naked Chicken Chalupa" didn't have this problem. I expected my hands to get greasy like holding a regular piece of chicken, but that wasn't the case. We're guessing they have an idea how to prevent that with this new item as well. Taco Bell breakfast has only been around for a few years, but they're proving they can compete with other fast-food chains when it comes to the most important meal of the day. They offer hearty breakfast meals like their A.M. Crunchwrap, grilled breakfast burrito, mini skillet bowl, breakfast quesadilla, hash browns, and other delicious choices. They also serve up breakfast "desserts" like Cinnabon Delights, and of course they offer coffee and orange juice.

So make sure you keep an eye out for Taco Bell's latest creation. Even if you feel like it's a little... "different," we suggest you still give it a try. You never know, you may absolutely love it. And if you don't? It's Taco Bell... You probably spent less than $4 on it. No big loss there.
